Mr. Younes Sekkouri, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills, participated on June 6, 2024, in the meeting of the Strategic Steering Committee dedicated to the implementation of advanced regionalization. In the presence of government members who signed the framework agreement related to the implementation of Regional competencies, as well as Regional Presidents and Walis, an interim report was presented and a roadmap for the next phases was defined.
This strategic Royal initiative sparked discussions on various themes, particularly in key sectors such as employment and vocational training. The adjustment of the vocational training map to the specific needs of territories and regional employment areas was addressed, with the aim of strengthening and bringing job opportunities closer to young people, while emphasizing the role of regions in this area.
The importance of strengthening the institutional aspect and developing human resources at the regional level was also highlighted, stressing the importance of a participatory approach to optimize the effectiveness of advanced regionalization initiatives.
